When your story
becomes

A fabulous piece of jewellery

“I take notes, I write, and I enjoy revisiting ideas
we have shared together and sometimes it may raise
new questions that nurture my research. I like the moment
when imagination soars and travels until the idea strikes
to magnify
my client’s dream.”

From sketch

to 3D modelling

After this gestation period, the first drawings of your jewellery come to life. Catherine Daymard offers you several artistic directions so that you can choose the perfect design.

Then comes the stage of volume. 3D modelling allows you to visualize the jewellery in all its dimensions, and you can have the first fittings of your future piece. DAYMARD uses various modelling techniques, including wax sculpting, silver model, and computer-aided design (CAD), as shown below.

Researching

colours and materials

At DAYMARD, colours and materials are meticulously chosen to serve the narrative of your jewellery: the right colour, the right texture, the right proportion… all the while paying close attention to the high quality and origin of the materials.

Under a canopy of veined gold leaves and diamonds, the Vigne de Vie ring shelters emerald grains, diamonds, and two small pearled eggs.

It is also possible to create your bespoke piece using stones you already own.

The Arches ring was created with a cobalt blue spinel provided by the client. The ring is In 18 carat palladium white gold and diamonds.

With a gemmology background, Catherine Daymard relies on a solid network of gemstones suppliers to find the perfect stone(s) for your design. For some creations, she has them cut to measure, entrusting the work to a lapidary who knows how to bring out the best of the raw stone!

A celestial blue aquamarine. The Force de Vague ring sculpted in 18 carat palladium white gold and diamonds.

As for other materials, anything is possible! Catherine Daymard leaves the door wide open to creativity: gold and other precious metals like platinum, titanium, bronze…

Eléonore’s ring in platinum, with a central sapphire and diamonds.

… but also cultured pearls or glass art pearls, precious feathers, rare woods, art enamels… if you wish!

The Hagia Sophia ring.  Green and blue hot enamel on 18 carat palladium white gold. Blue chalcedony dome and a round tanzanite cabochon.

Our commitments

Precious metals and gemstones

The Maison uses gold with guaranteed traceability.
We work with RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council) certified companies and prefer the use of recycled gold. The origin of our gemstones is at the forefront of our concerns, and we favour short supply chains with as few intermediaries as possible. Our diamonds are natural and certified by the “Kimberley Process.” Our jewellery is made in Paris.
